Before blown-in insulation is installed, the work area should be safe, accessible, and ready for inspection. A little preparation helps the installation go more smoothly and helps our team complete the work efficiently.

For attic insulation projects, our team may need access to the attic hatch, the work area inside the home, and parking space for equipment and hoses.

Before installation, please prepare the following

1. Clear access to the attic hatch
Please make sure the attic hatch is easy to reach and not blocked by furniture, storage, or personal items.

2. Move fragile items away
Move fragile or valuable items away from the work area, hallway, stairs, and attic access point.

3. Keep pets and children away
For safety, pets and children should stay away from the work zone during the installation.

4. Remove stored items from the attic when possible
If your attic is used for storage, remove items before the appointment when possible. This helps our team inspect and install insulation properly.

5. Let us know about moisture or roof leaks
Please tell us if you know about any roof leaks, condensation, water stains, mould concerns, or previous attic problems.

6. Confirm parking access
Our team may need driveway or parking access for the equipment vehicle. Please let us know if parking is limited.

7. Send photos before the appointment
Photos help us understand the access and existing insulation before arriving.

Helpful photos to send

• Attic hatch
• Existing insulation
• Roof or attic ventilation
• Areas with damage or moisture
• Outside parking or access area

What happens before installation?

Before installing blown-in insulation, our team may check insulation depth, attic access, ventilation, moisture, and the condition of the existing insulation.

If the existing insulation is wet, damaged, contaminated, or heavily disturbed, removal may be recommended before new insulation is added.
